Is your loved one a regional center client? Do you want to hear about a program that may bring them more freedom of choice and independence before and after their transition to adulthood?
The Self-Determination Program (SDP) provides individuals and their families with more control and responsibility in choosing services and supports to help them meet their goals. The SDP is available to all eligible individuals receiving services from a regional center.
Please join Kristianna Moralls, Director of the Self-Determination Institute, as she:
- Explains what the SDP provides participants
- Introduces the 5 principles of self-determination: freedom, authority, support, responsibility, confirmation
- Discusses how to begin your SDP journey
- Describes the transition process from traditional services to the SDP
Kristianna Moralls directs the Self-Determination Institute, leading research, thought leadership, and training initiatives to advance civil rights and strengthen self-directed services for people with disabilities. As a parent, advocate, and expert in disability rights, she draws from personal and professional experience to drive systemic change and promote equity in the Self-Determination Program (SDP).
